KABEG – Klinikum Klagenfurt am Wörthersee
The Klinikum Klagenfurt am Wörthersee is not only the third largest hospital in Austria, but also a modern health centre with a wide range of offers and outstanding medical services. Every year, more than 78,000 inpatients are admitted and around 300,000 outpatient treatments are carried out.
Project requirements
A total of 750 roll containers from 61 driverless transport systems are steered fully automatically through underground corridors and bring food, laundry, waste, sterile and medical goods to the desired destination. All areas such as wards, central kitchen, laundry and various other functional areas as well as a supply and disposal centre are connected underground by a 14-kilometre network. Our task was to build all the new buffer sections, to connect them to the individual stations, to take over and deliver the containers to the driverless transport systems and to connect them to the container washing system.
