Hawle Armaturenwerke, the specialist in the development and manufacture of heavy-duty fittings, has set up a new, automated high-bay warehouse at the company's headquarters in Frankenmarkt. The pallets, which weigh up to 1,200 kg and measure 1,400 x 1,200 x 1,200 mm, make their way between the high-bay warehouse, logistics hall and production on a system from HÖRMANN Klatt Conveyors..
Project requirements
The facility extends over three floors. The floors are connected to each other by a scaffolding shaft lifter that is almost ten metres high. The connection to the high-bay warehouse is made by five independent aisles. In the logistics area, the system can be supplied with material at eight different workstations. There is also a bypass that takes the pallets to the inner courtyard – or back from the inner courtyard – where they are transported on by forklift. To avoid corrosion, the conveyors in this area are made of stainless steel.
